The construction of the Jessamine Sweater is untraditional but a lot of fun. The front and back is worked from the center out in lace pattern on double pointed needles at first and then on a circular needle. The side seems and shoulders are knitted together and then the sleevs and the bottom edge are worked.

Sizes: 3-6 months (1 year) (2 years)

Gauge: 20 sts x 27 rows pr. 10 x 10 cm in stockinette st worked flat

Skill level: Intermediate

Techniques used: Working in the round center out (starting with few sts), charted eyelet pattern

Materials

  • 150 (150) 200 grams/300-360 (300-360) 400-480 meters/330-393 (330-393) 440-524 yards of yarn for size 3,5-4 mm needles (the sweater in the picture are made in KnitPicks Galileo Yarn in the color Pearl (no. 26103) (50 gr =  120 m/131 yards) and Shine Sport Yarn in the color Cream (no. 23615) (50 gr = 100 m/110 yards)
  • Size 3,5-4 mm double pointed needles (make a swatch to match gauge)
  • Size 3,5-4 mm circular needle, 40 cm (and possibly 60 cm)
  • Possibly 2 buttons and a size 3,5-4 mm crochet hook
