Dorothea Skirt - English

Dorothea Skirt is worked top down. At first a casing is worked for an elastic. Then a simple eyelet pattern is worked. The number of sts is then increased to create width to the skirt and another simple eyelet pattern is worked. The skirt is finished by working a picot cast off.

Sizes: 1 year (2 years) 3-4 years (5-6 years) 7-8 years (9-10 years)

Waist width: 28 (30) 32 (34) 36 (38) cm

Length: 24 (26) 28 (31) 34 (36) cm

Gauge: 28 sts x approx. 36 rounds on 10 x 10 cm/4 x 4 inches in stockinette st in the round

Materials:

• 100 (100) 100 (150) 150 (150) gr of yarn for size 3 mm (US size 3) needles (the skirts in the picture is knit in Knit Picks Stroll Sock Yarn (50 gr = 200 m/220 yards) in  the color Dandelion (#25024) and Knitting for Olive Merino (50 gr = 250 m/273 yards) in the color Dusty Aqua)

• Size 3 mm (US size 3) circular needles, 40, 60 and 80 cm (16, 24 and 32 inches) (or size needed to obtain gauge)

• Wide elastic - approx. 45 (47) 50 (52) 55 (57) cm
